Paul Coen | Senior Pastor
Pastor Paul Coen has been a pastor for 31 years. Before attending seminary, he graduated from Bemidji State University with degrees in History, Mass Communication (TV, Radio and Film) and Secondary Education. Before coming to Nebraska, he served rural parishes in Minnesota. Pastor Paul served as the Campus Pastor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Senior Pastor at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, NE. His role as a pastor has also included serving as an associate pastor in youth and education. Prior to entering ordained ministry, Paul served 4 years as a full-time program director for the Bible Camping Corp. Pathways and was site director at Camp Emmaus in the Northern MN District of the American Lutheran Church.
Pastor Paul and his wife Jane have six children, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and eleven grandchildren.
Emily Dalen | Director of Children's & Family Ministries
Emily Dalen serves as the Director of Children’s & Family Ministry. Her ministry roles have included serving as a Director of Youth and Family Ministry at a church in Milford, IA, as well as, the Director of Children's Ministry in Plymouth, MN.
She lives with her husband, Scott, and their two children. When they’re not at church or chasing kids around at activities, she bakes fancy cakes and cookies. Having grown up in a home where faith was a part of all that we did, Emily is passionate about equipping parents to be the primary faith examples for their children.
Jan Lundgren | Office Manager
Jan Lundgren is the Office Manager and coordinates the front office duties from bulletins; to phone calls; to wedding, baptism and funeral coordination; to posting the church calendar; to greeting guests and congregants as they arrive.
She was born and raised here in Nebraska and enjoys spending time with her two sons and their wives, along with six grandchildren.
Megan Moslander | Director of Stewardship and Development
Megan Moslander serves as the Director of Stewardship and Development on a part-time basis. She has been working in the fundraising field over ten years. She currently is the development officer at College Possible, which helps promising low-income youth get to and through college. Megan has her BA from College of Saint Mary and her MPA from Bellevue University.
When not working at church or at her full time job, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Maddie.
Erin Rodgers | Director of Worship and Music
Erin Rodgers is serving as the Director of Worship and Music. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree as well as a Master of Music degree from UNL and taught in the Syracuse Public Schools for 9 years.
She and her husband, Keith, have been members of the church since 2012 and were married here in May of 2013. They have a son named Jack and two very energetic cats.
Chris Berger | Maintenance Technician
Chris Berger is the Maintenance Technician working evenings and special events. His position includes building security, building maintenance projects, and assisting with audio/visual needs. He is also attending Metropolitan Community College for a Sound Recording degree with a specialization in Live Recording and owns his own company that does work in production coordinating and servicing, in-house training, and system design and installation.
David Norton | Accompanist
Dave Norton serves part time as a keyboardist and organist for the services at St. Paul’s as well as for the Choir for Christ. He was raised Lutheran in St. Paul, Minnesota, received a Computer Science degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and moved to Omaha in 1984 to serve in the Air Force. Dave has been playing for over 40 years and teaching piano for over 20 years. Dave has been married for 30 years, has two children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. He and his wife served as missionaries to an orphanage in Uganda, Africa for 1½ years.
Hector Villarreal | Nursery Supervisor
Hector Villarreal is our Nursery Coordinator and brings to the table over 16 years of foster parent/adoptive parenting experiences. He previously held a position as a Peer Liaison for the Iowa Foster & Adoptive Parent Association and was responsible for assessing training needs and developing/delivering training to meet those needs for Foster/Adoptive parents in Southwest Iowa. Hector currently works in the hospitality industry as a consultative revenue specialist, assisting hotels in the Americas with developing revenue strategies that result in increased revenue gains for his hotel partners. Hector & David live in Omaha with 5 of their 7 children, and they are set to become grandparents this fall.
