Supporting the Global Community
St. Paul’s Lutheran supports others around the globe by providing basic necessities for comfort, education, a new child, or an opportunity for work. A list of the supplies needed for each kit is available in the entryway to the left of the sanctuary. We encourage you to contribute supplies as you are able!
The projects below are completed in partnership with Lutheran World Relief (http://lwr.org/)
Our Projects
Annual Dedication of Mission Quilts
Mission Quilts
Imagine having a warm blanket to shield you from cold and rain or provide you with bedding. A simple quilt could also provide shelter as a simple tent, serve as a floor coverings, or a wrap to hold a baby on a mother’s back. Women gather on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to create quilts that are sent all over the world to those in need.
Lutheran World Relief School Kits
Imagine wanting to attend school but not having the ability to purchase needed supplies. Each summer school supplies are gathered by the St. Paul’s community and then sorted into kits for children around the globe.
Lutheran World Relief Personal Care Kits
Personal care kits contain items such as soap, towels, toothbrush, and a comb. They are given out when Lutheran World Relief visits places that have experienced a natural disaster.
Lutheran World Relief Baby Care (Layettes}
Project Promise Baby Care Kits are distributed during international emergencies and are also given to expectant women to encourage them to seek prenatal care.
Lutheran World Relief Sewing Kits
Project Promise Fabric Kits contain thread and material to be used during vocational training programs. These kits help young men and women develop useful, marketable skills.
